Shipping

The shipping matrix, lanes, estimates at cart and per-market rules.

Shipping is configured as a matrix of lanes rather than a flat rate, because dropshipping costs depend on where the goods ship from as well as where they are going.

Lanes

A lane is origin region → destination market, with a cost, a customer-facing price and a delivery estimate range. Lanes are seeded from a template at provisioning and then edited in Settings → Shipping matrix.

FieldPurpose
Origin regionWhere the supplier ships from. Determines the real cost.
Destination marketMust be one of your enabled markets.
CostWhat you pay. Feeds margin calculations.
PriceWhat the customer pays. May be zero for free shipping.
EstimateMinimum and maximum days, shown at cart.

Estimates at cart, not at checkout

The estimate and price are resolved and shown in the cart. Discovering shipping cost at the final checkout step is the largest single source of abandonment, so the platform refuses to do it that way.

Missing lanes

If a product’s origin has no lane to a visitor’s market, the product is not offered to that market rather than being sold at an unknown cost. The gap is reported in Settings → Shipping matrix so it can be filled deliberately.

Free shipping thresholds

Thresholds are per market, evaluated on cart subtotal after discounts. The cart shows how much more is needed to qualify, because that message reliably raises basket size.
