Documentation / Billing and plans
Billing and plans
Trials, plan changes, limits, usage metering and invoices.
Billing is deliberately boring: a subscription, no transaction fees, and limits that explain themselves.
The trial
Fourteen days on the Growth entitlements, no card required. Everything works, including a live storefront. When the trial ends without a plan the workspace becomes read-only — data is not deleted.
Plan states
| Status | What it means for access |
|---|---|
trial | Full read and write access. |
active | Full read and write access. |
past_due | Read access retained; writes blocked until payment succeeds. |
cancelled | Read access retained; writes blocked. Storefront is taken offline. |
The status on the workspace is the gate, and only the payment-processor webhook moves it between paid states. That means access decisions never depend on a network call succeeding mid-request.
Changing plans
Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated. Downgrades apply at the end of the current period, so you keep what you have already paid for. Both are self-serve in Settings → Billing.
Limits and metering
Plan entitlements — products, orders per month, markets, seats, creative credits, workspaces — are enforced at the point of use. Exceeding one blocks the specific action with an explanation and an upgrade link. Nothing is deleted and the workspace keeps operating.
- Order counts exclude cancelled and refunded orders, and exclude demo-store orders entirely.
- Product counts are published products, not staged ones.
- Seat counts include pending invitations, because a held seat is a used seat.
Invoices
Invoices and receipts are available in Settings → Billing and emailed to the workspace owner. For refunds, see the refund policy.
Cancelling
Self-serve in Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. You can export your catalog and order history at any time, before or after.
